Sorrow waited, sorrow won.
Sorrow that put me on the pills,
It’s in my honey it’s in my milk.
It’s only about half a heart alone
On the water,
Cover me in rag and bones, sympathy.
Cause I don’t wanna get over you.
I don’t wanna get over you."

Listening to the new The National album. It’s pretty much amazing. I will probably be listening to his for weeks.

Just got the new Coheed & Cambria album. Time for the obsession to begin.

I am really getting sick of crazy indie hipsters saying things that try to be profound, cool, and off the wall, but in reality makes you sound like an idiot. We get it. You want to be noticed for your obscure thoughts. You are totally original. What else will you say?
My frustration mostly comes from the guy that makes up Owl City. I follow him on Facebook, and he randomly posts this piece of garbage:
“It’s ok, Pluto. I’m not a planet either”
What does that even mean?! And everyone was swooning over his apparent godlike wisdom in the comments. Maybe we should rethink what he says as nonsense rather than some kind of profound and deep thought. To be honest, a lot of his lyrics come off the same way. Some of the sentences really don’t make any sense, but we just go “That’s postmodernism, man”.
Don’t get me wrong. I like indie music and for the most part indie culture, but some of these guys are just lame. It’s ok to be artistic, but stop trying so hard to sound to come up with some kind of saying you put on a lame graphic tee.
Sigh……………
In an attempt to rid my mind of idiocy, I have defriended Owl City. I’m almost regretting even having his music on my iPhone.
